Tacton was looking to freshen up the brand that had previously launched in 2020. Feedback received from stakeholders and customers were nearly unanimous that the previous website design was "too dark" and felt blocky. Industry analysts were also consulted regarding how to present Tacton competitively which resulted in a new approach to homepage content. Additionally, the navigation and site architecture were rearranged in order to help users better find the kind of content they were seeking.

For the overall design, the use of colorblocking was limited from the previous design and black backgrounds were nearly eliminated. Whitespace was added and typography was reconfigured to give the site a lighter, more airy feel.

For the navigation, items were grouped under categories related to user goals. For example, in the prior site, Academy, Blog, Events, and Research were all in separate menus. Since the purpose for these are all related to learning about Tacton's products, they were regrouped under the category of "Learn".
